The latest updates from ELCA Worship offer a rich blend of new resources, event highlights, and future planning tools to support our congregations in their worship and ministry. At the heart of these updates is the report from the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, where Pastor Annemarie Cook helped create an inspiring space called “Drawn In, Moving Out.” This interactive learning area engaged youth in meaningful activities, providing them with tools to express their faith creatively. If your youth attended and have photos or stories to share, please contribute by emailing worship@elca.org. Your submissions may be featured in a future blog post.

Looking ahead to the fall season, the ELCA has released new hymn suggestions for Evangelical Lutheran Worship’s Pastoral Care and Occasional Services for the Assembly. These suggestions are designed to enrich worship experiences, especially during the Time after Pentecost, Reformation, and All Saints. These resources are available for download on ELCA.org/Resources/Worship and can also be accessed by subscribers at SundaysandSeasons.com.

As we prepare for “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday, remember that this day is more than a service event; it is a celebration of our identity as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a community freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbors. Resources are available to help you plan activities that reflect our Lutheran conviction that every act of service flows from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

Finally, for those planning ahead, mark your calendars for the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians’ 2025 Summer Conference, to be held August 4-8 in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. Early registration opens in September, offering significant savings. This event promises to be a valuable opportunity for church musicians to connect, learn, and grow in their ministry.
