The Diakonia Program, in connection with the Grand Canyon Synod, has recently developed an Advanced Classes Task Force.  This task force is devoted to creating and offering high quality training for lay persons, beyond the regular two-year Diakonia Program.

Advanced classes listed below are currently being developed. 

• The Lutheran Toolbox, Public Ministry: Fall 2021, Available to all

• Preaching: Fall 2021, Diakonia graduates 

The Synod has expressed a need for better trained lay persons for service in the church. The Diakonia Program, along with its offerings of advanced classes is working to make that possible.
