Connect and Renew: Register by 9/13 for the Bishop’s Fall Gathering in October

Join us for the Bishop’s Fall Gathering from Monday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the serene Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center in Carefree, AZ. Our theme this year, “Embody the Word,” invites us to deepen our faith, connect with fellow rostered ministers, and engage in worship and renewal.

Please note, the registration deadline is Friday, September 13, 2024. Rooms are filling up quickly, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot. If finances are a concern, please contact the Office of the Bishop to inquire about scholarship opportunities.

This gathering is open to all active rostered ministers, retired pastors actively serving a congregation, seminary students, and those on internships. While retired pastors are welcome, please note that room availability may be limited. We encourage all participants to stay at Spirit in the Desert for the full experience, but commuters are also welcome.

This year, we are honored to have two special guests: Rev. Andrea Roske-Metcalfe from Diamond Lake Lutheran Church and Elder Perci Ami, a gifted author and storyteller. Their insights and experiences will enrich our time together, complementing our worship, synod updates, and the fellowship we will share over delicious meals.

All registrations include meals, with dinner on Monday, October 21, three meals on Tuesday, October 22, and breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, October 23. For those with severe allergies, outside food is welcome, though the retreat center cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

To register, click the link below and select your preferred accommodation: a single room for $420, a double room (per person) for $345, or a commuter pass for $200. Meals are included in all registration types. Please remember to complete one registration at a time to ensure we capture each attendee’s information accurately.

For any questions or to make changes to your registration, please contact the synod office at 602-957-3223 or email office@gcsynod.org.

We look forward to gathering in Carefree this October to embody the word together in faith, fellowship, and renewal.
