August Worship Updates: Conferences, Workshops, and New Music Resources

Discover new resources and events for worship leaders and musicians this fall! As we approach the fall season, ELCA Worship is excited to highlight a range of resources and events from our Lutheran and ecumenical partners. These offerings are designed to support worship leaders, musicians, and anyone passionate about the church’s worship life.

Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM)

Prepare for ALCM’s “For all that is to be” Summer Conference, scheduled for August 4-8, 2025, in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. Mark your calendars now, and take advantage of early registration savings starting in September.

Music that Makes Community (MMC)

MMC continues to inspire deep spiritual connections through communal song-sharing. This fall, they are hosting workshops across the country:

  • Waco, Texas: One-Day Community Singing Workshop on Sept. 28 at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.

  • New London, N.H.: One-Day Community Singing Workshop on Oct. 5 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

  • Chippewa Falls, Wis.: A two-day event on Oct. 11-12, including a Community Sing and Workshop at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Additionally, MMC invites you to the “A New Day Draws Near” conference in Minneapolis, Sept. 16-18, to explore reimagining church and community life.

Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival (LSM)

Resources from the Center for Church Music
