2024 Vote Faithfully Toolkit: Resources for Christian Civic Engagement

With the 2024 presidential election fast approaching, we share a post from the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona as well as the Episcopal Church's Vote Faithfully Toolkit to help congregations engage in faithful civic participation. This toolkit offers resources for healthy election engagement, including crucial dates, action steps, and communication materials.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, with less than 90 days to go until November 4th, many of us may feel overwhelmed by the constant news cycle and political discourse. However, engaging faithfully in this election is not only a civic duty but also a Christian obligation. The Episcopal Office of Government Relations has developed a comprehensive 2024 Vote Faithfully Toolkit to help congregations and individuals navigate this election season with faith and integrity.

The Vote Faithfully Toolkit offers a wide range of resources to model healthy and constructive civic engagement. Congregations can take actionable steps such as helping run elections, registering to vote, mobilizing community members, using church platforms for communication, and advocating for the dignity of every citizen. As Presiding Bishop Michael Curry reminds us, “It is a Christian obligation to vote, and more than that, it is the church’s responsibility to help get souls to the polls.”

The toolkit also provides crucial dates for the election, reflective quotes for communal discussion, and even music to inspire your congregation. Whether your church offers its space as a polling site, recruits election workers, or simply spreads the word through newsletters and social media, there are numerous ways to contribute to this vital work.

Furthermore, the toolkit includes bulletin inserts and ready-to-go graphics to seamlessly integrate election engagement into your church’s communications. Key dates to remember include National Voter Registration Day on September 15th, National Voter Education Week starting October 6th, and Vote Faithfully Sunday on November 3rd.
