Donna Campbell (wife of Pastor Paul Campbell at Ascension Lutheran, Paradise Valley) received the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2019 Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT) Annual Conference in February where 500 teachers, parents and advocates joined in the celebration.

Donna has been a teacher for 45 years and has focused on teaching gifted students and training teachers for 40 years. Donna served as President of AAGT for several years and is currently serving on the AAGT Advocacy Committee. She is at the Arizona Legislature on a regular basis advocating for the restoration of funding for gifted education and has testified in several legislative committee hearings. She also travels annually to Washington D.C. to present the case for education to Arizona’s Senators and Representatives.
