Grand Canyon Synod Outreach
We are blessed to serve people living in a high growth area of the United States. The most recent census conducted by the United States Census Bureau reported that the top-five fastest growing cities in the United States with a population over 100,000 residents are located in the territory of the Grand Canyon Synod: GIlbert, Arizona; North Las Vegas, Nevada; Henderson, Nevada; Chandler, Arizona; and Peoria, Arizona.
The city of Phoenix, Arizona, has become the nation's fifth largest city. The following cities in the mission territory of the Grand Canyon Synod now rank among the top 100 largest cities in the United States: Phoenix, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; Mesa, Arizona; Glendale, Arizona; Henderson, Nevada; and Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Grand Canyon Synod places a high priority on church planting in areas of population growth. In addition, the synod works with congregations in neighborhoods of changing population demographics to focus on emerging mission opportunities.
The Board of Outreach is very active in responding to the population explosion of southern Nevada and Arizona. For more information on the Grand Canyon Synod Board of Outreach, explore the following links.
